The staff are highly trained to deliver person-centred care services to all residents, be it day care, respite or a permanent placement. If you are looking to take the next step into residential care, please feel free to visit the home at any time.
The accommodation we provide is designed to make our residents feel comfortable in their surroundings. We actively encourage residents to decorate their room with their own belongings to promote a sense of familiarity. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and all have en suite or private toilet facilities.
To the right is the incredible sea view from the main lounge.
The home has a small lounge and a large lounge where residents can relax or meet with visitors.
At the rear of the house, there are large landscaped gardens where residents can sit or enjoy a spot of gardening.
We can support special dietary needs; residents at Victoria House have three home cooked meals per day with morning, afternoon and evening snacks available.
Fresh fruit is available all day.
We have Appetito who can supply us with special pureed food, which is also available in high fat content for those who need a more specialized diet.
We take pride in the variety and quality of our home cooking and special diets and personal preferences are all catered for.
Other than for specialist diets, all meals are prepared on the premises from locally sourced fresh produce, where possible.
At Victoria House, we firmly believe that the body and the mind are very closely linked and that keeping the body active, even for those who are perhaps less mobile than they once were, can also do wonders for their state of mind.
Ryde is well served by bus and rail services to other parts of the Island. Bus, rail and hovercraft terminals are all within a short walk from Victoria House. Taxis are readily available.
There are frequent fast passenger ferries and hovercraft services to Portsmouth Harbour and South Sea. Car ferries make frequent and quick journeys between Portsmouth and nearby Fishbourne.
